Kim Tyson

Director of Administration

Kim has dedicated over 25 years at the Alabama Sheriffs Youth Ranches. She takes great pleasure in discovering the various ways we support children daily to improve their lives. As the Director of Administration, Kim plays a key role in overseeing staff to ensure compliance with guidelines and task are being met. Additionally, she collaborates closely with the CEO, Board members, and Executive Sponsors while playing a vital role in fundraising events.

Kim graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in 1997 and furthered her education at Alabama State University. She and her husband, Terry, are proud parents of two children: Jordan, who is married to Hunter May and works as a Sonographer at Baptist Hospital, and Grant, who serves as a Police Officer in Prattville. This family dynamic not only enriches her personal life but also enhances her understanding of the importance of community and support systems, which she applies to her work at the Ranches. A naturally artistic person, Kim is frequently engaged in creative projects such as painting and calligraphy. She also enjoys shopping, gardening, and spending quality time with family, friends, and her beloved dog and grand dogs.

“Working for the Ranches feels like you’re contributing to a meaningful cause and making a positive impact in the world. We are changing children’s lives. It’s more than just a job; we truly are FAMILY here.”
