TALLAPOOSA COUNTY GIRLS RANCH

The Tallapoosa County Girls Ranch, which opened in 1973, is situated on land donated by Mr. James D. “Duck” Samford. The campus features five ranch homes, two staff houses, an office, a chapel, a gym, a pool, a pond, and various support buildings.
The ranchers attend Reeltown School, where they participate in a variety of extracurricular activities. They are actively involved in youth programs and attend local churches. Highlights of the ranch's activities include an annual beach trip, a day at the water park, a spa day, various camping experiences, a trip to an Atlanta Braves game, a Columbus Cottonmouths hockey game, a fashion show, a nursing home ministry, a church food ministry, and visits to Children’s Hospital.
