"I am very thankful for the [Colbert County Girls Ranch] and all that they've done for me. It is just one big family - I love it! They have made me a better person by loving me as I am and allowing me to become the person they knew I was capable of becoming." - C.

"I'm thankful for the ranch because, even though I have graduated and moved away, the lessons I learned there and the new life I gained will stay with me forever." - I.

LATEST CEO NEWS
Dear Ranch Friends,

As the year 2024 draws to a close, we are so excited with the anticipation of the holiday season. Our Ranchers, currently immersed in their schooling, are enjoying the beauty of autumn by spending time outdoors- fishing, tending to the livestock, and enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the Ranches.

We're humbled to be a lifeline for these young people, and since autumn 2023, we've been privileged to provide over 100 young individuals with the warmth of a loving Christian family, many who are experiencing that for the first time.

We've witnessed more than 20 Ranchers get baptized, numerous high school graduations, and some of our Ranchers are embarking on their college journey. Recently, we had a Rancher join the military and several others have joined the workforce. It's an honor to be a part of their transformative journey towards responsible adulthood. It is the fuel that keeps our mission going.

Our Ranchers aren't just thriving, they are flourishing! Currently, we are in the midst of several projects that include a new home for our Colbert County Girls Ranch, allowing us to take in more girls that need a safe space to call home, and gym upgrades to our St. Clair County Boys Ranch, giving these young men a place to decompress and build relationships through friendly competition.

Reflecting on this year, I'm struck by the heartwarming display of unity and love that our Alabama community has shown towards our children. It's evident that we are blessed with a wealth of resources from our kindhearted donors, committed volunteers, and dedicated staff. I am immensely grateful for your unwavering prayer, love, and support. May the blessings you've bestowed upon us be returned to you and your family in abundance.

God bless,

Michael Smith
